A look at the homepage of the site

A new site with flexible backend was needed that would streamline their signup process and automate day-to-day management. In the process we made member-only content more accessible and tier based, added individualized portfolio areas, and improved editing capabilities.

I worked closely with a small team to conceptualise, design, and develop the Graphic Artists Guild, a site that’s home to several thousand creative professionals, and their portfolios. This site was built upon a powerful content management system, Expression Engine. A few of the areas I had the opportunity to work on was the signup and renewal process, member central, and user profile. Connected with PayPal, the Guild’s users are able to signup for a yearly subscription at varying membership tiers — Professional, Associate, or Student.

Once logged in the user is able to access varying amounts of member only content, and setup their own personalized portfolio. This site proved to be a fun challenge as we had to migrate a large, existing user-base to their new site with minimal interruption.
