These long exposure photographs were taken on Navajo land just outside of Page, Arizona.
The first shows an old tree branch resting gently against the water-swept sandstone.
As the sun passed overhead, occasionally narrow shafts of light would work their way down from above to illuminate the narrow passageways. This is when these long exposure photographs were taken.
The last two were taken in the lower canyon, known as Hasdestwazi, or “spiral rock arches”, this photograph features an interesting section of Navajo sandstone, and its gracefully natural, water-swept form.
